Norman Goldschmidt is the President of Genesis AEC, where he leverages over 40 years of experience to lead the firm’s commitment to “science-first” life science facility solutions. Prior to joining Genesis, Norman spent two decades at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS), where he served in various leadership capacities, ultimately as the Executive Director of Global Engineering. His deep background in process engineering, facilities planning, and engineering management has made him an internationally recognized authority on the integration of complex manufacturing processes with global regulatory compliance.
A prolific innovator, Norman holds four patents for HVAC and pharmaceutical processing advancements, including US Patent 8,110,031 for cleanroom air treatment, and he has contributed as a lead or contributing author to eight ISPE Guides. His strategic vision is anchored by his current role on the 2025–2026 ISPE International Board of Directors and his active participation in the Pharma 4.0 and Future Labs initiatives. An expert in contamination control, process engineering design, and aseptic manufacturing, Norman is a sought-after educator who serves as an adjunct professor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and a faculty member for the PDA Training & Research Institute. He frequently consults for global regulatory bodies, including the FDA, helping to shape the standards for the next generation of biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
