In-House Rendering and Augmented & Virtual Reality Modeling Saves Time & Money

AR and VR technologies amplify design communication and comprehension. They transform static designs into immersive experiences that empower clients and designers alike.

Augmented Reality (AR), is a technology that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user’s view of the real world, thus providing a composite view. For instance, AR can overlay a digital 3D model of a proposed building onto a real-world location, allowing designers and clients to view how it would look in context.

Virtual Reality (VR), on the other hand, creates a simulated environment that can either replicate the real world or create entirely fantastical spaces. In the context of Genesis’s work, we use VR to fully immerse designers and clients in a lifelike simulation of the proposed design. This allows them to walk through and explore it as if it were already built.

AR/VR allows our designs to be shown holistically. Designs don’t stop at the edge of the paper, that’s only where the drawing stops and the true visualization begins. We can export our designs into AR software so designers and clients can view the project in an interactive setting. Through VR, we can immerse our designers and our clients into the proposed space and help them to rapidly understand the successes or gaps in-process. These vantage points allow for adjustments to be made quickly to the design approach long before they pose a risk to the project schedule or budget.

With AR & VR, we help our clients:

  • Easily interact with their project, exploring our design to see it from different angles and vantage points
  • Know what their project will look like long before construction is complete
  • Understand potential adjustments and modifications of the design, either to correct gaps or to meet your evolving needs
  • Create marketing deliverables for stakeholders

In addition to AR/VR deliverables, we can also create renderings to convey project milestones, act as marketing collateral, or simply illustrate how the completed project will look.
